It is not uncommon to see the face of some of the members of George Haynes Family on T.V. or in magazine ads. In 1986 they did ads for Guess Jeans that ran in the March issue of Mademoisille and others. On September 20, 1986 Guess Jeans shot their ads from Haynes Ranch Bull Riding event. There was an ad on T.V. advertising Sesquicentinneal year in Texas and most of us thought that the song they playd was about the old cowboy that was saddling his horse and drinking the cup of coffee on the ad. The song was really talking about Texas not George Haynes. It went something likethis - "I am the old time cowboy, working on the range. Youse my face a thousand times but do you know my name. -Chorus- And my big blue sky just rolls on forever, ther is none quite the same. you must have guessed by now Texas is my name."
