Sam Huff, 89, died at the county infirmary, Monday, December 4, 1939, of imfirmities
due to his advanced age. He was a native of Mercer Co, the son of John and Jane Black
Huff and a member of the Berea Church. His wife Mrs. Susan Vandivier Huff died 45
years ago. Surving are two daughters, Mrs. E.C. Carroll of Danville,& Mrs. Fannie
Whitehouse of Waddy & one son Edron Huff of Shelbyville, six grandchildren & 7 great
grandchildren. The funeral was at 2 pm Wednesday at the Alexander & Royalty funeral
home, with the Rev. T. Hassell Bowen conducting the service. Burial in Bruner's Chapel
cemetery. The Bearers were H.T. Adams, L.C. Tipton, Edwin Watts, W.A. Taylor , J.D.
Black & James E. Devine.
