1. William Hunt died at his residence in Lansing, NY, October 20, 1846 in his 84th year
William Hunt, (1763-1846), enlisted 1779 from Northumberland County, PA. under Capt. Thomas Campleton for guarding the frontiers. In 1833 he applied for a pension in Lansing, T
ompkins County, NY, and it was allowed for six months actual service as private Pennsylvania line. His widow in 1847 recieved a pension.
2. Born August 16, 1763 in Greenwich NY and soon afterwards the family moved to Muncy, PA. At age 14 on 1/1/1777 he enlisted from Northumberland Co, as a Private in col Seth Warners Penna Regiment and served 5 years mustering out 1/1/1782. He served 6 months as a Private in Capt Thomas Campleton/Completons' PA Co of Rangers where his service consisted in scouting on the frontier. His services entitled him to a pension W25802 which became effective 1/29/1833. After the Revolution he continued to live in the Muncy, PA area and on July 10 1788 he was married to Nancy Coburn born 1771 by the Rev John Smith of Muncy. In 1802 they followed relatives to Wilton, Cayuga Co, NY and later to Lansing then known as Beardsley corners. William and Nancy had eleven children and all lived and were married in the Tompkins Co, NY area. He applied for his military pension in Lansing, Tompkins Co., NY and it was allowed for six months actual service as private Pennsylvania line. He died in Lansing, NY. His widow in 1847 received his military penson. There is a marker dedicated to Wm Hunt at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, dedicated 15 August 1987.

, "Genealogical History of Northern Pennslyvania". It states, "Wilson Hunt was born and reared in Cheshire, England, where he resided until young manhood, when he was driven from his native land on account of his religious opinions. At a early day he settled in Warren county, NJ, whence he later removed to Scipio, NY. William , son of Wilson Hunt, as a young man settled in Muncy, Lycoming county, PA, and removed thence to Lansing, NY, in which place he and his wife both passed away. He entered the Continental Army at the age of 17 years and served during the last 3 years of the Revolution. He married Nancy Colborn."

William Hunt died on 20. Oct. 1846 at Lansing, Tompkins County, New York, at age 83. He was buried at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York.
