John Wayne "Jack" Jordan, 71, of 2707 Pennsylvania Ave. West Ext., died in Hamot Medical Center, Erie, on Monday, Feb. 9, 1981, after a short illness. He was born in Rimersburg, Clarion County, on Oct. 19, 1909, and lived in the Warren area since 1938. After being employed at National Forge Co. for 35 years, he retired in 1972. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, and the Eagles Club of Warren. Surviving are his wife, Hazel C. Jordan; two daughters, Mrs. Lynn (Jeanne) Williams and Donald (Janet) Thompson, both of Warren; five grand-children and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Viola McDevitt, and a brother George Jordan.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7 to 9p.m. at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home. A private funeral service will be held there at 1 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Bailey Herrington. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park. The family has suggested that friends wishing to place memorials do so through contributions to First Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
