She was the daughter of the late Sid and Mary Ellen Conover Bailey of Adair County and the widow of the late James Ivan Cabbell who preceded her in death on December 30, 1969. Mrs. Cabbell is survived by one daughter, Miss Janet Cabbell of Sano Route, Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. willie Overstreet, Sano Route, Columbia and Mrs. Sam Murrell, St. Joseph, Illinois; three nephews, Darrell Overstreet, Columbia, Orville Bailey, Russell Springs, and Jerry Murrell, St. Joseph, Illinois. Mrs. Cabbell was a member of the Clear Springs United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 18, 1980 at 10 a. m. at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Reverend John Shepherd of Glasgow officiating. Interment in the Freedom Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Green, Lilburn Roy, Edwin Bryant, Bill Cooley, Paul W. Bryant, and James Burton.

Robert Jefferson bailey, 64, prominent Adair County farmer and educator, died on Friday at his home in Garlin after having been ill following a heart attack about a month ago. Son of the late Sid and Mollie Bailey of Adair County, he was a member of Clear Springs Methodist Church and later transferred to become a charter member of New Concord Methodist Church. He had served for a number of years as an instructor in various schools of the Adair County system. He joined the Masonic Blue Lodge and served in all of its stations and was also a member of the Royal Arch and Eastern Star. At the time of his death he was serving his local church as a trustee, steward, treasurer, and instructor of the Adult Sunday School Class.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Minnie Richards Bailey, he is suvived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. S. H. Murrell, St. Joseph, Ill; Mrs. Ivan Cabbell and Mrs. Bill Overstreet of Columbia; Buford Bailey, Columbia; and Elbert Bailey of Garlin. He is also survived by a niece, Janet Cabbell of Columbia, and two nephews, Orville Bailey of Garlin and darrell Overstreet of Columbia. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday at 1:30 p. m. at New Concord Methodist Church by the Rev. V. W. Chandler, assisted by the Rev. S. R. Gilliam. Interment was in City Cemetery, with Masonic rites led by Judge P. P. Dunbar. Funeral arrangements were handled by Grissom & Callison Funeral Home. Robert Jefferson Bailey was born on 10. Oct. 1889 at Joppa, Adair County, Kentucky. He was the son of Robert Sidney Bailey and Mary Ellen Conover. Robert Jefferson Bailey served in WW I. He married Minnie Love Richards, daughter of James A. Richards and Victoria E. (Unknown), on 9. Nov. 1918 at Adair County, Kentucky. Robert Jefferson Bailey died on 17. Sep. 1954 at Garlin, Adair County, Kentucky, at age 64. He was buried at Columbia City Cemetery, Columbia, Adair County, Kentucky.
