Was child laborer in Schuylkill County, PA, mining industry as breaker boy separating coal. Had grade school education but became one of Atlantic County, New Jesey's, most prominent citizens. Was consistenly re-elected to office as Hamilton Township Clerk on the Republican ticket until his retirement due to stroke. Was very active in public affairs, serving with fire department, police deparðVìŒitment, board of health, and numerous associations. Devout member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Mays Landing and active in Knights of Columbus. Had love of poetry and was fequently published in the Atlantic County Record newspaper. Died on NoðVìŒivember 30, 1975, and was buried in the family plot at Union Cemetery, Mays Landing (Gravelly Run).

She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Middletown, NY and was an avid bowler in the early Mixed League and the Tuesday Night Ladies League. She is survived by her husband, Ronald L Bennett Jr at home, Howells, NY; four children, Susan M Perkowski and companion Anthony Roberto of Matamoras, PA; Sherry L King and companion Paul Quick of Dingman's Ferry, PA; Kelly L Bennett and companion Robert A. Johnson Jr. of Middletown, NY; Ronald L. Bennett III at home, Howells, NY; 11 grandchildren; 4 great Grandchildren and two nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Daniel Bennett, sister Carol Boyce and brother James J McGinn Jr. Friends may call at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell FuneralHome, 26 Grove Street, Middletown, NY.
