Ada Lee Neal was born on 29. Feb. 1872 at Chamgaign County, Ohio. She was the daughter of
William Henry Neal and
Martha Jane Wooley. Ada Lee Neal married
James Elmer Stayman, son of
George D. Stayman and
Margret McCroskey, on 11. Aug. 1897 at Chamgaign County, Ohio. Ada Lee Neal died on 21. Nov. 1932 at age 60. An obituary was printed after 21 November 1932: Mrs. James E. Stayman Dies Monday Morning. The death of Mrs. James E. Stayman occurred at her home on East Walker Street, Monday morning at 3:20, resulting after a serious illness of nine days, of cerebral hemorrhage.
Mrs. Stayman's maiden name was Ada Lee Neal. She was born in Champaign county, Ohio February 29, 1872, the daughter of William H. and Marthe (Wooley) Neal. On August 11, 1897 she was united in marriage with James E. Stayman, who has preceded her in death. One daughter survives this marriage, Miss Margaret Less Stayman, at home who is employed as technician at the office of Dr. J. Craig Bowman. She also leaves a half-sister, Mrs. Ira Applegett of Marion and two nieces, Mrs. Thomas Robinson of Sidney and Mrs. G. L. Clingerman of Bellefontaine. One sister, Mrs. W. H. Persinger, has preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of this city. She was formerly affiliated with the Pythiam Sisters order. Aside from her bereaved daughter and other relatives she leaves many friends to mourn her departure.
The funeral will be held at her country home near DeGraff, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. Norman Sweat. Interment will be made in the DeGraff cemetery. The body was taken to the Bringman & Co. funeral home, where friends may call Tuesday evening.2. She was buried at Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff, Logan County, Ohio.
