Herman Vaughn Nibarger, 87, Anderson, passed away March 4, 2005, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a former resident of rural Markleville.

He was born Dec. 1, 1917, in Markleville, the son of Homer and Mayme (Hindricks) Nibarger.

He retired as an equipment sales dealer in 1961 and was a lifelong farmer, retiring in 1980.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Edna (McCune) Nibarger of Anderson; a son, Robert E. Nibarger of Virginia Beach, Va; two granddaughters, Carmen (husband, John) Compton of Montsursville, Pa., and Krista (husband, Joshua) Hodsden of Akron, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Condo & Son Funeral Home, Wilkinson. Burial will be in Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton.

Visitation will be one hour before service Monday at the funeral home.
