The funeral of Mrs. E. C. Poling, 80 years old, who died Thursday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs M. H. Haste, Charlotte, Texas will be held at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon, from the residence of G. W. Adcock, 425 San Pedro Ave. Burial will be made in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery. Srevices will be conducted under the auspices of Rev. D. Emory Hawk of the Travis Park Methodist Episcopal Church and Rev. S. H. C. Burgin, presiding elder of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, San Antonio district.Mrs Poling was a native of Zanesville, Ohio, born in 1832 and was a descendant of Daniel Boone.She was widely known in Texas and was a resident of San Antonio for the past twenty five years. She had returned but a few weeks ago from a visit to her son W. A. Poling of Fairfield, Washington, and was visiting her daughters, Mrs. Haste, and Mrs Fortson, when death came.She is survived by five daughters, Mrs S. E. Mckenzie, Mrs Jessie Adcock, Mrs M. A. Stapp all of San Antonio, Mrs W. S. Fortson, Mrs haste of Charlotte, Tex. and one son W. A. Poling of Fairfield, Wash; one brother A. K. Owen of Lake Geneva, Wisc. and a sister Mrs. Lavina Fulkerson, 87 years old of Edmonds, Wash.
