He was buried at Armory Hill, Ilion, Herkimer County, New York. He went as far as 6th grade. He was an Ilion village trustee from 1934-1938 serving as Police Commissioner 34-36 and Parks and Recreation Director from 36-38. He was an Insurance man for Prudential mainly on the south side of Herkimer. He was a paid firefighter as a young man and a volunteer until the time of his death.
