Alma J. CROWNOVER-CRAMER, 95, of HCR 61, Box 422, Mill Creek, died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, at 12:35 a.m., at J.C. Blair MemorialHospital, Huntingdon. Born July 21, 1904, in Johnstown, she was the daughter of the late Thaddeus and Sarah J. (Smith) Park. She first married Clarence W. Crownover Feb. 18, 1921, at the Lutheran parsonage in Huntingdon with Dr. Edmund Manges officiating. Mr. Crownover preceded her in death Oct. 18, 1967. She then married Elmer W. Cramer Feb. 13, 1969, at Calvary Baptist Church in Huntingdon with the Rev. Richard Myers officiating. He preceded her in death March 21, 1977. Surviving are the following children: Jane Wall, Curwensville; Elise Whitsel, Mill Creek; June Frain, Mill Creek; C. William "Bill" Crownover, Petersburg; James "Jim" Crownover, Petersburg; and Nancy L. Wilson, Mill Creek. There are 20 grandchildren, 34 great- grandchildren and eight great-great- grandchildren. Also surviving are four step-children: Harold Cramer, Mapleton; Loey Mentzer, Mill Creek; Donald Cramer, Mill Creek; and Janet Kauffman, Kilgore, Texas. There are 13 step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Edna Mentzer; a son, Ray E. Crownover; a stepson, Millard Cramer; and a granddaughter, Judy Whitsel. Mrs. Cramer was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by three sisters and brother. She was a member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church and a charter member of the Women's Missionary Society of her church. She was employed by the housekeeping department at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital,
Huntingdon, and later was an aide in the kitchen at Juniata College, retiring, in 1967. Funeral services will be field Friday, July 21, at 10 a.m., at the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with the Rev.
Jeffrey Winstead officiating, assisted by the Rev. Raymond Crownover. Interment will be made in the Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service on Friday. It was Mrs. Cramer's request that flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mill Creek Baptist Church, P.O. Box 191, Mill Creek, Pa. 17060. She was buried on 21. Jul. 2000 at Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.
