She was buried on 29. Jul. 1974 at Machpelah Cemetery, LeRoy, Genesee County, New York. Mrs. Frederick D. Hodges Le Roy----Mrs. Anna J. Hodges, 88, of Mungers Mill Rd., Silver Springs, a former Le Roy resident, died at 5 p.m. Friday (July 26, 1974) at her home. Mrs. Hodges was born Oct. 22, 1885 at Pavilion the daughter of the late John and Eva Johnson Phillips. Her husband, Frederick D. Hodges, died in 1947. Mrs. Hodges had resided on the Harris Rd. Le Roy, prior to moving to Silver Springs 22 years ago. She was a member of the Oatka Baptist Church at Silver Springs. Survivors include two sons, Harold of Jacksonville Fla., and Robert J. Hodges of Mumford; three daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Margeson of Clifton Spring, Mrs. Hubert (Florence) Cagwin of Marietta, Ohio, and Mrs. Hiram ( Thelma) Chapman of Hammondsport; a brother Earl Phillips of Bank St. Rd; a sister Leola Stevens of Batavia; nieces and nephews; 27 grand and 34 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home of H. Steuber & Son where services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. Roy Staub, pastor of the Wesleyan Church at Avon, officiating. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery, Le Roy.
