Obituary for Mable Claire (Sanders) Hanrahan was published in the November 30, 1965, issue of The Vidette-Messenger, Valparaiso, Porter Co., Indiana: MRS. ROY HANRAHAN Mrs. Roy (Mable) Hanrahan, 75, RFD 7, died at 5:10 p.m. Monday in Porter Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. A lifetime resident of the Valparaiso area, she was born Aug. 2, 1890, in Liberty township, the daughter of William and Martha (Kippling) Sanders. On Aug. 22, 1907, in Valparaiso, she was married Roy Hanrahan, who survives. She was a member of the Liberty Township Bible church, Sisterhood club, Ladies Farm Bureau and Home Demonstration. Surviving besides her husband are one son, Earl, of Valparaiso; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Sanders and Mrs. Maxine Pfledderer, both of Valparaiso, and Mrs. Margaret Hannon, LaPorte; 14 grand children and 10 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Hoeffle, Gary, and Mrs. Jessie Cameron, Kansas City, Kan. Two sons, Leroy and Carroll, one brother and two sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bartholomew Funeral home with the Rev. Thomas McDill officiating. Internment will be in Kimball cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p. m. Wednesday. She was buried on 2. Dec. 1965 at Kimball Cemetery, Liberty Twp., Porter County, Indiana.
