Schmell, 82, Liberty township, who died here Sunday morning after an extended illness, will be held at 3 p. m. Wednesday in the Bartholomew Funeral home. The decedent was born in Ohio in 1870, and lived in Porter county the past 40 years, coming here from Arizona. He was a farmer. He married Mary M. Bull in Valparaiso, Aug. 5, 1908. She died Nov. 12, 1952. He was a member of the First Baptist church. Surviving are a brother, Henry J. Cambria, Ia., and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Grass of Owenton, Ky., and Mrs. Cally Cline of Columbus, Kan. The Rev. H E. Meyer, pastor of the First Baptist church will officiate the services Wednesday, and burial will be in Kimball cemetery. Friends may call at the Bartholomew Funeral home from 2 p. m. Tuesday until Wednesday noon, and from 2 p. m. Wednesday until services. He was buried on 21. Jan. 1953 at Kimball Cemetery, Liberty Twp., Porter County, Indiana.

Meyer, Valparaiso First Baptist church, officiating. Mrs. H. W. Hock was soloist, with Miss Mae Brown accompanying on the organ. Burial was in Kimball cemetery. Pallbearers were Richard Ruge, Herman Curtis, Wayne and Theodore Bull, Leslie Esserman and Keith Clark.
