September 21, 1942, she was united in marriage to James Redman Richand to this union two children were born: a son, Larry Jo, and adaughter, Rita Diane. She attended church in her early life and in months passed by had manyvisits from wonderful ministers and confessed to them and her dear familythat the time was near and she was ready. She was a true, loving wife and mother, loved and enjoyed her home andchildren and one little granddaughter, whom she dearly loved, althoughshe spent only a few months with her. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, James; her son, Larry Jo;daughter, Rita and son-in-law, Randal Garrard; and her granddaughter,Melissa Renee Garrard; five sisters, Mrs. Gladys Rich, Mrs. Loren (Rudy)Catt, Mrs. Harold (Dale) Jordan, Mrs. Della Ford and Mrs. Kenneth (Agnes)Earnhart; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Bernice Simons; and threebrothers-in-law. Her mother, father, three sisters and two brotherspreceded her in death. She will be sadly missed by her family, her relatives, friends andneighbors and all who knew her. She was buried at Jones Cemetery, Flat Rock, Crawford County, Illinois.
