Samuel Sutton, son of Richard Sutton and Miss Chidester 1, was born March 1775. He married Ellenor vliet, the daughter of Simon vliet and Ann Terhune2. Ellenor was born 8 Feb 1779/80. Samuel died 23 Aug 1849 and Ellenor died 29 Jan 1860. They are buried in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Oldwick, Hunterdon Co., NJ. Samuel and Ellenor had three children:

I. Anna Sutton was born 24 June 1801. She married George Fisher on 30 Sep 1819 in Somerset Co.,
NJ. George, the son of Rev. George Fisher and Hannah Hiles3, was born 5 Nov 1796. George died
19 Nov 1889 and Anna died 21 Dec 1890. They are buried in Fairmount Methodist burying ground.

Elmira died 10 Jan 1913 and Francis died 30 Dec.1940. Ida Mabel Apgar, b. 24 Jan 1880, d. 25 Mar 1969~ Elmira lived on Staten Island for a time - her father bought a building lot there. While there, she met Dr. Apgar, who was studying medicine. They returned to Hunterdon Co. and he set up a ðVìŒ7$practice in and around Oldwick. They are buried in a private plot at the intersection of Rte 523 and the road to Rockaway, on Pottersville side of the intersection. Elmira left Ida her building lot, Westerleigh, Staten Island. Ida was a teacher of music and lived with her father. She remembered her 5 cousins in her will. 10

Simon lived in Tewksbury Twp. and Hackettstown, Warren Co., NJ. According to Simon's obituary which appeared in the Hackettstown Gazette on 15 July 1910: Simon V. Fisher, who was stricken with paralysis some days before his death which occurred on his 86th birthday. Mr. Fisher spent most of his active life on his farm on Schooley's Mountain, from which by industry and careflil husbandry, he accccnulated a competency. Some years ago, he retired from the farm, was married the second time to Miss Fannie White, and settled in Hackettstown where he has since resided. He had been an actve member and for many years an officer of the Methodist Episcopal Church, giving to the church devoted and beneficial service, and liberally of his means. Beside his wife, Mr. Fisher is survied by three daughters: Mrs. Apgar, of New Germantown; Mrs. Harvey, wife of a Methodist minister stationed in Iowa, and Mrs. M. B. Bowers of this town. Funeral services were held from his late home
on Tuesday with interment in Union Cemetery.

14 Feb 187729~ Charity was born July 1839 and died 8 Aug 1902 of dropsy.
Samuel died 4 Nov 1909 of cancer of the liver. Samuel, Elizabeth, and Charity are buried in New
Germantown Cemetery, Oldwick, NJ.
