Elizabeth (Unknown). Thomas Tingle died on 3. Mar. 1844 at Bainbridge, Schuyler County, Illinois, at age 79. He was buried in Mar. 1844 at Gillette Cemetery, Bainbridge, Schuyler County, Illinois. Thomas Tingle lived in the disputed area between Delaware and Maryland. Tax records of Delaware show him in Baltimore Hundred, Sussex County, Delaware. The names of his parents are unknown or the exact date of his birth. He married Elizabeth sometime before he moved to Kentucky as the first child, Ellen, was born in Delaware. He moved with his brothers to Fayette County, Kentucky. He first appears on the Fayette County tax records August 25, 1795. He moved to Henry County, Kentucky, in 1806 where he appears on the tax records in 1807. Sometime between 1810-1820 he moved to Indiana. He appears on the 1820 census of Scott County, Indiana. He was also in Clark County, as that is where his daughter Matilda married in 1817 and his only son Samuel died. He owned land in both Indiana and Illinois at the time of his death. His wife Elizabeth died after he did. Thomas's will was dated Dec. 14, 1843 and probated on March 12, 1844, Schuyler Co.,, Illinois. Rice Dunbar was named executor in Illinois and Christopher Chapman was named executory in Scott Co., Illinois. Wintesses were Thomas Suduth, Joshu Chitwood, and Abraham LaMaster. The will mentions his wife Elizabeth and 'lawful heirs' both in Illinois and Indiana.
