He began military service on 11. May. 1864; enlisted in Co. H, 9th New Jersey Infantry Regiment. He ended military service on 12. Jul. 1865 at Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina; mustered out Co. H, 9th New Jersey Infantry Regiment. He married
