     Robert Ernest Boren was born on 22. Feb. 1874 at Reagor Springs, Ellis County, Texas. He married Carrie Amanda Lee Weatherall on 15. Nov. 1896 at Ennis, Ellis County, Texas. Robert Ernest Boren died on 9. Sep. 1932 at Paoli, Garvin County, Oklahoma, at age 58

There are two stories that this writer has heard concerning Robert's
murder.

The first is that after having the home of his daughter Ferrell Celeste
burglarized he went looking for the persons involved and upon finding
them they murdered him by hitting him in the head with a claw hammer.

The second is that after the rape of Katherine Boren, one of his
daughters, he went looking for the boys involved and when he found them
they jumped him and hit him in the head with a claw hammer.

Since the story that I have heard from the most reliable sources, Silas
Vawter and James V. Conover, is the one about the burglary I tend to
believe that it is the most likely to be true. He was buried at Paoli Cemetery, Paoli, Garvin County, Oklahoma.
