The following information was sent to me by Freida Wells, April 15, 1999. It was in the history book of Sedan, Kansas. It was written by Mary Rodgers.
Julia Dordelia Buckles, (difference in name), eldest daughter of Henry and Emily Buckles. She was born October 2, 1864 at Illiopolis, Macon County, Illinois, during the Civil War. Delia married Pinkey Preston Kennedy at Peru, Kansas, on July 3, 1883. They had eight children, three of them died young. Their three boys and two girls grew up at Peru.
Pink and Delia Kennedy farmed west of Peru until they retired and moved to Caney. They both died in Caney and are buried in Peru Cemetery. their children are Harry, Olive, Lester, Earl and Ruby. There is a picture of the Kennedy Family, Delia, Olive holding Lester, Pink and Harry. (In the book from Sedan,Kansas).
