Walter Clark was born in 1859 at Centerville, Bourbon County, Kentucky. He was the son of
John Clark and
Susan Simpson. Walter Clark married
Mattie Edwards, daughter of
Ossian Edwards and
Patsy Kennedy, on 6. Oct. 1881.
WALTER CLARK, livery; was born 1859 in Centerville Precinct; son of Edwin and Patsey (Simpson) Clark; he is a native of Virginia; born in 1807 and died 1878; she was born in the county, daughter of John and Susan Simpson; Walter was raised to farming pursuits. April 27th, 1881, he married Mattie Edwards, daughter of Oscar and Patsey (Kennedy) Edwards; Oct. 6th, 1881, he engaged in the livery business, in partnership with his brother-in-law, Oscar Edwards; the stable, situated on Main street opposite the post office, is well located for trade and is doing a large business, having accomodation. for 100 horses, and facilities for dispensing horspitality to all who favor them with their patronage, and at the lowest possible rates. Mr. Clark is a member of the Baptist Church; his wife of the Reformed.
