Elnora Conover Quick, daughter of John and Margaret Conover was born February 25, 1865 and passed away at her home near Kirk Chapel November 8, 1848 at the age of 83 years, 8 months, and 14 days. She was the only surviving child of three daughters. She was married to Ennis Quick September 17, 1884, who preceded her in death April 27, 1846 at the age of 85 years, 2 months, and 29 days. To this union were born four children: Harlen Ota, David Allen, Grace Cathern, and Jerry Lewis. Harlen Ota died in infancy.
She is survived by three children: David Allen, Grace Cathern, and Jerry Lewis, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, one cousin C. H. Conover, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She joined the Methodist Episcopal Church at Kirk School House during a protracted meeting held by John Cullom and John Jackson in the year of our Lord 1878 at the age of fourteen; Jackson preached the sermon that night. She lived a faithful Christian life attending Kirk Chapel as permitted. She lived all her life
on a farm north of Kirk chapel which was conveyed to her by her father, John Conover. Although afflicted, she was a patient sufferer and always looking
on the brighter side of life. She was a kind loving mother, neighbor and friend who will be remembered by all who knew her.
