He served for five years as a member of the Twenty-third Regiment, National Guard of New York, receiving an honorable discharge. He was with the regiment in Buffalo, during the well known strike riots of 1894. Harry Martin Conover and

He was assistant superintendant New York Life Insurance Company in Oct. 1915. He died on 1. Oct. 1915 at business trip, Burlington, Chittenden County, Vermont, at age 48. He died on 2. Oct. 1915 at Burlington, Chittenden County, Vermont, at age 48; he had been at the location of his death for three days. He was found dead in bed. Cause of death acute indigestion.
