Emilie Virginia Taylor. Anna Elizabeth Cortelyou was baptized on 2. Aug. 1850 at Dutch Reformed Church, Six Mile Run, Somerset County, New Jersey. She married
George Albert Brown, son of
Joseph Brown and
Almira Raymond, on 16. Oct. 1873.
Anna Elizabeth Cortelyou appeared on the census of 30. Apr. 1930 at with her son Louis, Summit, Union County, New Jersey. She died on 14. Jun. 1936 at Bronxville, Westchester County, New York, at age 86. She was buried at Kensico Cemetery, Westchester County, New York.
Anna Elizabeth Cortelyou is listed in the census of 1850 along with her father, mother, father's sister, and other Cortelyous on a farm in Franklin Township, Somerset County, N. J. The census, taken there Sept. 24, 1850, states Anna Elizabeth's age as seven months.
Though listed in the old Bible as "Anna" she was always known as "Annie." She was adopted by her mother's sister, Mrs. William A.
Livingston, and added Livingston to her name. At the time of her death, she resided with her son Louis L. Brown in Bronxville, N. Y.
