Sarah Rapalje, b 1746; 2nd marriage Garret. Garret is said to have had a daughter by his second wife in 1777. In his will, dated May 9, 1781, Garret Covenhoven of New Utrecht, Kings Count, NY, mentioned his son Johannes; his daughter Sarah, wife of Martin Schenck; his daughter-in-law, Neeltje, widow of his deceased son Nicholas; and the latter's children, Garret, Antje, Geertje, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Neeltje Covenhoven. The executrs were his son Johannes, his friend Aert Van Pelt, son of Petrus, and his daughter Sarah Covenhoven. The witnesses were Petrus Van Pelt, John Van Kirk Van Nuys, yeoman, and Nicholas Covenhoven, Esquire. Garret Couwenhoven died on 17. Nov. 1783. His estate was proved on 5. Feb. 1784.
