Elias Covenhoven of Middletown mentioned his wife (but not by name), and his children Peter, John, Patience, Lydia, Jane, Sarah, Anne, and an unborn child. The executors were his brother Peter Conover, John Longstreet of Freehold, and his brother-in-law John Wall, of Middletown; the witnesses were Roelef Covenhoven and Gerrit Schenck.
He died on 25. Dec. 1750 at Middletown, Monmouth County, New Jersey, at age 43. He was buried c 26. Dec. 1750 at Schenck-Couvenhoven Cemetery, Pleasant Valley, Monmouth County, New Jersey. His estate was proved on 30. Jan. 1750/51. The Inventory of Ens. Elias Cowenhoven was taken £447.11, incl. a negro man, £60; a negro woman, £50; a negro boy, £10; a Bible and other books, £2.5; 200 bush. of wheat, £30; made by Nicholas Johnson, Garrett Schanck and Elias Golden on 7.
