     Rhoda May Cox was born on 22. Sep. 1873 at Pennsylvania. She married Robert Nevius Cart, son of Sylvester Cart and Nancy Jane Nevius, on 8. Nov. 1892 at Rico, Dolores County, Colorado. Rhoda May Cox died on 27. Mar. 1957 at Denver, Denver County, Colorado, at age 83. She was buried on 30. Mar. 1957 at Fairmount Cemetery, Denver, Denver County, Colorado. Per Ruth Fertterer, Rhoda's grand-daughter, Rhoda was an orphan, raised by a Mrs. Hatch.

Services for Mrs. Rhoda M. Cart, 83, of 3520 E. 10th Ave. who died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday in More Mortuary. Burial was in Fairmount. Mrs Cart was born in Pennsylvania, Sept. 22, 1873 and came to Colorado when she was 2. She was married to Robert N. Cart of Roico, Colo., in 1892. Mr. Cart was killed in a mining accident in Cripple Creek, Colo., in 190ðVìŒ7q6 and his widow came to Denver. She had lived here for 50 years. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Loretto Bivens, Cohteau, Mont., a son, Robert N. Cart, Denver; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 ðVìŒ7qp.m. Saturday at the Moore Mortuary for Mrs. Rhoda M. Cart of 3520 E. 10th Ave. Burial will be in Fairmount. Mrs. Cart died Thursday in St. Joseph's Hospital after a long illness. She was 83. She was born in Pennsylvania but moved to CentraðVìŒ7ql City with her parents while a young girl. She also lived in Rico and Cripple Creek before coming to Denver in 1906. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Loretto Bivens, Cohteau, Mont., a son, Robert N. Cart, Denver; seven grandchildren and 10ðVìŒ7q great-grandchildren.

His service was recognized by the Letter Carriers of New York & a bronze statue of their benefactor was raised in
Astor Place in New York City. President Cleveland appointed minister to Turkey . (1885-1886) After serving as minister to Turkey he again entered Congress in 1886. Among his books are "A Buckeye Abroad" 1856. "Puritanism in Politics" 1863. "Three Decades of Federal Legislation" 1885.
