Donald E. Cross, 46, died yesterday at the Allen County Memorial Hospital. Mr. Cross was born at Stark, Kansas, February 17, 1922. He moved to Allen County with his parents. He attended Grant grade school and graduated from Moran High School in 1941.

He went to Wichita where he completed aircraft school and worked in Allentown, Pennsylvania until he entered military service in 1944. He spent 22 years in the army, retiring from active duty September 1, 1966. He then moved to Moran. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Sam Miller, Iola, and Mrs. Harlan Cooper, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois; two brothers, Delmar Cross, Springfield, Oregon and Kenneth Cross, El Dorado, Kansas.
     
Mr. Cross was a member of the Moran Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite Consistory at Lawton Oklahoma, the Mirza Shrine Temple at Pittsburg, Kansas, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and Ruriton National of Moran.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Moran Christian Church. The Rev. Jean Minnich will officiate and burial will be in the Fort Scott National Cemetery. Contributions may be made toward the Heart Fund. He was buried on 29. Mar. 1968 at Fort Scott National Cemetery, Fort Scott, Bourbon County, Kansas.
