While I was looking at the will, I remembered something from previous research that makes me fairly certain now that Benjamin is the father of Annie. A year or so ago, I came across the bastardy bond for Jane HH's child, Amanda, born to Jane in 1837, well before she married William D. COBB. I found that Amanda's father was Samuel TIMMONS of Cherokee Co. GA, but the main thing I found out was that Amanda had a middle name, and this bastardy bond is the only place I've ever seen it. Her middle name? JASPER Wouldn't you think this would be a definite link between Jane HILLHOUSE, through her mother Annie CROWNOVER, to Benjamin and Rachel (JASPER) CROWNOVER?
