Roberta Jarrett Elder was born on 29. Mar. 1912 at Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio. She was the daughter of
Robert Jarrett Elder and
Annie Lee Brown. Roberta Jarrett Elder married

Allen McKee Bond and
Elizabeth Maddox Willis. Roberta Jarrett Elder died on 8. Aug. 2004 at Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, at age 92.
Roberta Elder Bond BOND, ROBERTA ELDER, 92, of Louisville, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 8, 2004. She was born in Dayton, OH, on March 29, 1912. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY, after attending Oakwood High School in Dayton. Roberta was the singles and doubles badminton champion of Ohio, Kentucky and several other Midwestern states. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, the Junior League of Louisville, the Louisville Country Club and the River Valley Club. She took great pride in her family, her many friends, her home and garden, her bridge groups and her faithful dog, Ashley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen McKee Bond Jr., and her daughter, Tacie Bond Manly. Roberta is survived by her three sons, Robert Elder (Leslie) Bond, Allen McKee (Ina) Bond III and Charles Willis (Mary) Bond; eight grandchildren, Christopher Elder Bond, Jeffrey McKee Bond, Elizabeth Bond Owen, Patrick Lloyd Bond, Julie Elder Manly, Elizabeth Meriwether Manly, Anna Marie Bond and Jarrett McKee Bond; and five great-grandchildren, McKee Elder Bond, Peyton Witherspoon Bond, Fisher Hamilton Bond, Bradford McKee Owen and David Dalrymple Owen III. A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2004, at Cave Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at the Bond family home. Pearson's is entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville, 3532 Ephraim McDowell Drive, Louisville, KY 40205-3224.
