He was a crane operator for heavy construction and had lived in Mineral Wells for most of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife of Mineral Wells; a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea Sue and Steve Taylor of Euless; a son, Michael Glover of Mineral Wells; seven grandchildren, Steven Taylor of Arlington, Scott, James and Carey Taylor all of Euless; Michelle Kaufman and Amber Glover of Mineral Wells, and Sara Glover of Burleson; four brothers, Carl of Garner; Oliver of Weatherford; J.B. of Fort Worth; and Billy of California; two sisters, Drucilla Newberry and Lorene Newberry of Mineral Wells' his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cecil and Bertie Harless of Clyde; and two brother-in-laws and thier wives, Doug and Johanna May, and Bill and Wanda Medley, all of Clyde.
From the FT. WORTH STAR TELEGRAM Dec 27, 1993 issue. CLIFFORD A. GLOVER MINERAL WELLS - Clifford aubrey Glover, A construction cran operator, died Friday a a Mineral Wells hospital. He was 70. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells. Burial will be in Willow Pond Cemetery. Mr. Glover was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a longtime Palo Pinto County resident. He was Baptist. He was born August 23,1923. He married Doris Larue (Sue) May in Clyde in 1948. He is survived by his wife Sue; a son Michael of Mineral Wells, a daughter, Andrea Taylor and husband Stephen of Euless; 4 granddaughters and 3 grandsons; 4 bothers; 2 sisters; and relatives from the Clyde area; Cecil and Bertie Harless, Bill and Wanda Medley, Doug and Johanna May; and a number of nieces and nephews. Burial was in Willow Pond Cemetery, Palo Pinto County, TExas, officated by his son, Mike Glover.
