Benjamin Griggs was born in 1756 at South Brunswick, Middlesex County, New Jersey. He was the son of
Samuel Griggs and
Willemptje Terhune. Benjamin Griggs married
Anna Schenck, daughter of
Garret Schenck and
Neeltje Voorhees, on 26. Nov. 1778. Benjamin Griggs died on 18. Jan. 1812. He left a will on 25. Aug. 1837
