If there was a job to be done, she was on hand to help. When her daughters were in high school she drove to football games, taking as many teenagers as could get in the vehicle she was driving, car or truck. Sarah was a proud woman and I believe that she much resented the fact that she was 'low man on the totem pole' compared to the rest of her family. Sarah was a most independent energetic woman whose personality did a flip-flop as a result of the strokes she had which put her in the nursing home where she spent years before she died. Sarah and Fred Johnson were reported divorced several years before their deaths. Neither had remarried. . Sarah Griggs was an active person with much energy.
